Working for a living

June 11, 2008

sucks!

However, having the freedom to work and live as we want is part of the American dream so on we all go.

The job is starting to make some sense and I can honestly say that I have never seen a company more confused in my life. Being an affiliate of a major energy provider in the state, you would think they could come up with a plan to interface with the ‘mother ship’ a bit easier. If I could only write programs. It is amazing what each of the workers has to go through just to update a file. I’m only in training and I felt today like I wanted to throw a computer across the room. Hopefully, it will get better. Word around the office is that it remains frustrating even after you master the system.

On a more lighter note, my poodle found herself a new home. She was let out of my house last Friday when the air conditioning tech was working on the AC unit. She ran around the block where two little girls found her and then came knockling on my door. I crazily asked them if the wanted to keep her. I say crazy because I should have asked their mother or father not them. However it turned out fine and the mom came and spoke with me through translation on Saturday and said they would love her. The girls have renamed her and they brought her over to see me on Monday. She is very happy and spoiled and ignored me as the meanie who gave her up. I just hope it continues to work.

So, I just rented two movies from the libray. Gonna go home and watch one.

Peace ~

  1. Awww..I am sure you made those girls very happy with your craziness.

Continued good luck on settling into your job. Every place sucks in some way I think. The nature of the beast.
